- Interesting... I checked out Alinsky on Wiki.. I can see why a conservative, ersatz or otherwise, like Gingrich would want to demonize the guy. They often fail to realize that there are two sides of the coin, of community organizing and activism.

- The story doesn't say what the victim was in jail for.. It could be for outstanding traffic tickets, or some other silly nonsense. People run afoul of the law, for all kinds of reasons, in all kinds of ways. I see no point in commenting, on the actions of this unlucky little thief.

- I glanced up, and there he was, walking by. My wife couldn't understand why I was having such a hard time not laughing when I said "hi" to him. I would have had a hard time, not saying something like: "Hey there. How're you doing. We were just talking about you..."
CAPS LOCK!!!!!!!!!- just as annoying as yelling and not nearly as effective.

It was a small blurb in an unobtrusive sidebar in a 2006 issue of PC World. It advertised a citizen journalism site, where "anyone can write their own column". I loved technology, I loved writing, and I loved sharing my knowledge.
